Long time neighborhood advocate, permanent board member, friend and neighbor to many, Jane, (right in picture) has passed away.

Jane lived at the corner of NE 47th Street and 1st Avenue. She was from Montserrat, and was an avid gardener. She traveled annually to Great Britain to visit family, and was very involved in volunteer work in Buena Vista and with other local organizations.   The photo above is from a flashback article from 1983 in the Miami Herald to give you an idea of how long she has been a part of our community.

She was a tireless supporter of Buena Vista East and remained active on the board until health concerns limited her involvement this summer.  She will be missed, both as a friend and neighbor.

A generous offer of 2 pairs of tickets by a fellow neighbor will be raffled to 2 lucky couples.

​

All owners who have paid their dues before November 20th will automatically be entered into the draw.  The first set of tickets have been won and the second will be announced on 12/1/23.
